Oklahoma Is So Much Better Than I Thought!

Howdy yall! It's been an awesome week here in Oklahoma!

Monday night last week I finished packing and the ac in our apartment wasn't working and it was 80 degrees it was so hot. We got up and went to transfers, met my new companion Elder Park he is awesome and we get along super well. We drove back to Idabel which is about 2.5 hrs away from the Dallas area, we went shopping and got settled in that night. On Wednesday we didn't do much it was a little slow we went to the church and got to meet some members at the youth activity. Thursday was good we had district council and than ate at this BBQ place called fat tabs! We did a couple stop bys and found a new person! Friday we had virtual zone conference in the morning and than we went to a members house for dinner! We had one lesson that night with a pmf! Saturday was awesome we did some service in the morning picking up trash on the side of the highway with the Rasmussens the family we ate dinner with the night before, and than that night we stopped by a less active member and gave him a blessing. Than we showed up to another lesson and there was people drinking outside if this apartment complex and we made eye contact and than he just came down and started talking to us and said that God just told him to come talk to us we prayed with him and he had lost a lot of family recently so we shared some scriptures and we are gonna start to teach him! Sunday was awesome and happy mothers day to everyone! Elder Clark is one of the Elders that lives in my apartment but not my companion we got asked to speak it went super well! After church we called home and than had sudsy school over zoom. That night we went and stopped by some older members that aren't able to come to church and one lady named Sister Gebert we visited and I told her I was from Logan and she said some of her kids live there than I was looking at her books and some pictures and recognized a kid in the picture and I asked if It was her grandson and she said yes! That's Rhett and he's on a mission in Tennessee. Haha I went to school with Rhett Gebert. She was like really? I was yeah we had 8th grade history together or something and so I got a picture with her!  It was a great week and if love to hear about yalls week so please email me!
