Road Trip, Alligators, And MIRACLES!!
Wow wow wow! What an amazing week, hey yall I hope your week was great. We had a miracle filled week. So let me tell you about it, my companion Elder McDonough is originally called to Tahiti! He has seen working on his visa and he had to fly to Houston for a consulate interview. So last Monday we drove to Dallas and spent the night with some missionaries there. While Elder McDonough was traveling all day to Houston I just spent the day in a trio with the assistants. It was pretty fun, Elder McDonoughs flight got in to late for us to drive back Tuesday night so we drove back Wednesday morning. When we got to our area this is where the miracles began, so last week our zone made a goal to find 32 new people througout the zone. So needles to say everyone was working on finding and we wanted to find as many people as possible! Elder McDonough and I Street contacting a lot and we ended up finding 10 people this week! It was pretty insane as a zone we blew the our goal out of the water with a total of 41 people found! That's not even the biggest miracle, one guy that we found is a husband of someone else we are teaching named Debra. We stopped by to have a lesson with Debra and her husband thalmor invited us in. We shared the restoration and invited to be baptized he said yes and we put him on date to be baptized on Oct. 31st! Thalmor is a legend, him and his wife came to church on Sunday and loved it! Oh also we have an alligator! Haha we have been told that there is a gator that lives in our pond at our apartment and we have never seen him but the other night we spotted something in the water and sure enough it was Roger. He is so cool we fed him fish dont have good pictures cause it was dark. Pretty insane week full of miracles, this is the last week of the transfer so hopefully we can finish it out strong and find and teach more people!!
I love yall, here is a scripture I loved from my studies this week!
Moroni 10:6 And whatsoever thing is good is just and true; wherefore, nothing that is good denieth the Christ, but acknowledgeth that he is.
7 And ye may know that he is, by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore I would exhort you that ye deny not the power of God; for he worketh by power, according to the faith of the children of men, the same today and tomorrow, and forever.
Love, Elder Thomas
