Crazy Week Crazy Miracles!
Well howdy there, this week was full of all different experiences so buckle up cause we're starting with a wild one.
Words can't describe how weird this experience was, but on Tuesday all of our lessons fell through so we were just stopping by people trying to teach or set up lessons and we stop by Ryan we have taught him a couple times but he likes to drink and smoke that weed! So he's not sober a lot of the times. We showed up and he was outside talking to his neighbor and when he saw us he couldn't believe it was us. He said he's in a dark place right now and he just couldn't believe we showed up right than. He had a big oversized coat on and had his hand in his coat so we get to talking and he said he took his wife back because they separated for a time and that they did some hard core drugs together. So we're already a little uncomfortable, but than it gets worse. He says yeah and I haven't done this for over 3 years and pulled an airasol cab out of his coat and starts sucking that air and he raises his hand up and says something like the common souls. And than takes a couple more hits and his voice gets so deep and he just keeps repeating "the common souls" and some other stuff! So at this point the spirit just says peace out and and my stomach drops and I look over at Elder McDonough and I'm like we gotta go. So we start walking to the car and Ryan and just repeating the same thing over and his voice is getting deeper. Like for real at that point I think he was just possessed. We couldnt stop thinking about it for the rest of the night it was creepy. Thursday we had zone conference and it was so awesome! The spirit was strong and the training that President and Sister Seitz have were amazing! Than the big day! CHARLIE JOSEPH WILLIAMS III BAPTISM! That's right Cj got baptized yesterday and it was awesome! So basically we had church 8n the morning and the primary program was awesome than after church the other ward in our building invited us to a linger longer and we ate some good food. Ok so our bishop told us the font usually takes about 1.5 hours to 2 hours to fill up so we started it aroind 4 than went to our bishops for dinner and got out of there around 5:30 Elder McDonough was like we should probably go check on it and so we walk in and it's starting to over flow into the carpet gym! The funny thing is too that a member jokingly warned us not to flood the building because that is what happened at their baptism. The other elders cleaned it up while we went at got Elder McDonoughs clothes. But other than that craziness the baptism went great and cj siad he loved it and wished he could stay in there longer!
Today we are going to play basketball with other missionaries like the usual!
Would love to hear from yall so please email me!
Love ya! Elder Thomas.
Had a really cool spiritual experience this week. As I was praying in the morning I was thinking about Jesus Christ and his atonement and I asked God to help me remember him and the experiences I've had with using his atonement. Later in personal study I read mosiah 4:11-12
11 And again I say unto you as I have said before, that as ye have come to the knowledge of the glory of God, or if ye have known of his goodness and have tasted of his love, and have received a remission of your sins, which causeth such exceedingly great joy in your souls, even so I would that ye should remember, and always retain in remembrance, the greatness of God, and your own nothingness, and his goodness and long-suffering towards you, unworthy creatures, and humble yourselves even in the depths of humility, calling on the name of the Lord daily, and standing steadfastly in the faith of that which is to come, which was spoken by the mouth of the angel.
