TRUST
These past couple of weeks have been the craziest time of my mission!
Let me tell you a little about all the fun things that have happened! Sooo I don't know if I told yall but we had transfers and Elder Lakey finished and went home and Elder Allen is my new companion he is awesome he came out with me and we have served around each other a little bit before so we get along pretty well!
We cover two wards now which is a lot of work and keeps us busy! Sooo about two weeks ago I started feeling pretty crappy I had a sore through and headache and such sure enough I had covid! That was rough what sucked so bad was I wanted to go work but my body was not feeling like doing that we had a couple days down but than I just want to work. It only lasted a couple days which I'm glad about because this last week we have had Elder Lynn G Robbins come tour our mission and we drove to Dallas and had Mlc and we had zone conference and than we drove to Dallas again and had a mother Mlc it ws sprerty crazy and aweosme week! We also have been staying in this members freaking mansion haha the tefttellers went out of town for a week and they wanted us to house sit they're brand new house so we came here on Tuesday of last week and were staying here until this Wednesday! It's been so awesome but I don't want to go back to our old house!
We had the amazing opportunity to go to the temple on Saturday with our ward and some of the recent concerts and do baptisms. We had a ton of people so I sadly didn't get to baptize or get baptized but it was amazing just to be in the temple and be uplifted by the spirit!
Something that I had to be reminded of these past couple of weeks is trusting in God and his will and his spirit. When I found out Elder Allen was my new companion I was so hyped cause he is great missionary and I was expecting us to see so many miracles and see a lot of success, and than I was just humbled. We had a slow first week and than I got covid and just th stress of covering two wards was getting me. In our Sunday school lesson our bishop talked about trusting in God. It was exactly what I needed. And it reminded me of this verse. D&C 11:12 And now, verily, verily, I say unto thee, put your trust in that Spirit which leadeth to do good—yea, to do justly, to walk humbly, to judge righteously; and this is my Spirit.
13 Verily, verily, I say unto you, I will impart unto you of my Spirit, which shall enlighten your mind, which shall fill your soul with joy;
the spirit fills my soul with joy and I know as you pray and ask God for the Spirit and learn how to recognize it in your life you will feel that same joy!
