Howdy From Texas!

Hey there:) it has been an amazing week.

Let me tell about the miracles from this week. God has perfect timing and I am witnessing his hand in his amazing work that I am privileged to be a part of.

Daisy, she is someone we were teaching right when I got to gilmer at the beginning of December. Sadly her mother passed away and she asked us not to visit her anymore. It was hard but we knew it would open doors to share the gospel. We stopped by the last week but she was busy and we set up to come back on Tuesday. We went back on Tuesday and taught the plan of salvation and told her that her mother was waiting for her to accept the gospel so she could be baptized for her! We invited her to be baptized and she accepted, everyone pray for Daisy by name to be baptized on March 19th.

Aimee, she is a daughter of a member and we found her also the beginning of December. She is very shy and told us that she has a hard time believing in God. We taught her about God's love and then we didn't meet with her for a while as we were about to stop teaching her we asked if she would still be interested I'm meeting with us she said yes. We talked to the young women's president and got the young woman's involved since she is 17 and she immediately had friends and a connection with the ward. We have taught her a total of 3 times, and all the times we are focused on God's love. After our last lesson on Thursday she text us at midnight and said she had something very important to tell us. We set up another lesson right before church and talk to her before sacrament meeting, she told us that she likes the spirit that she feels and enjoy church and wanted to know how to join the church! We we're so excited we taught her about baptism and invited her to be baptized on March 26th! So everyone pray for Amy to get baptized on March 26th also.

Transfers on Tuesday and Elder McKnight got a new missionary, we worked on Tuesday but then that's night we got told that cold weather was coming and we would have to stay inside. Even though it was tough to be inside again we saw Miracles and worked hard.

I want to Bear My Testimony that God does answer prayers. Last transfer I expected so many miracles to happen and to baptize like crazy, but the Lord had different plans. I should have known since I prayed for patience and for miracles that he would have to test my faith. Because class transfer I cut my eyebrow open I got covid and we are had to be inside because of the cold and not a lot of effective work was done and we didn't baptize anyone. But I prayed a lot and ask for miracles, and the Lord is answering the first week of this transfer we I have seen his hand in this work and seen the hearts of the people soften and their desire to be baptized grow. No matter what you are going through call upon his name and he will strengthen you.

Helaman 3:27-29
27 Thus we may see that the Lord is merciful unto all who will, in the sincerity of their hearts, call upon his holy name.
28 Yea, thus we see that the gate of heaven is open unto all, even to those who will believe on the name of Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God.
29 Yea, we see that whosoever will may lay hold upon the word of God, which is quick and powerful, which shall divide asunder all the cunning and the snares and the wiles of the devil, and lead the man of Christ in a strait and narrow course across that everlasting gulf of misery which is prepared to engulf the wicked
35 Nevertheless they did fast and pray oft, and did wax stronger and stronger in their humility, and firmer and firmer in the faith of Christ, unto the filling their souls with joy and consolation, yea, even to the purifying and the sanctification of their hearts, which sanctification cometh because of their yielding their hearts unto God.

Email me! Love Elder Thomas:))
