Long Horns And Short Weeks!
Howdy! This week flew by we were busy and had a lot of lessons! On Tuesday we had a little scare with Elder Allen and his tooth he though he might have an infection so we went to the dentist and luckily they didn't have to pull it but it was just a little gum infection so they got him what he needed and we were on our way. We did an exchange that day with Elder Curtis! Elder Curtis and I served in the same district a year ago when I was in Terrell so it was fun to spend the day with him and we saw a lot of miracles! As we wer epullijg into Gilmer I got a prompting to go visit a former as we pulled up we saw this guy sitting in his car with his window down Nad we started talking to him and he was so cool we shared a scripture and went back on Saturday and had a lesson with him he seems interested but sadly he didn't come to church when he committed too so be praying for him his name is cj. It was amazing to see how the lord works because we went and knocked the formers door after that and no one answered so I think we were meant to be there for cj! Right after that we were walking around in a neighborhood near our house and saw this guy in his porch (Pic included down below) his name was Gavin and he is a train conductor! Yeah so if you know me Elder Thomas the train loves trains and it was cool to tlak to him! As we talked he said he knows three families in our ward so we will see him in white soon entering the waters of baptism! That night we went to a members house for family home evening it was a blast we played games and had brisket it was delicious! Their daughter who is 18 is dating a non member so hopefully we can start teaching him! We were down by our church on Thursday and noticed this house down the street had long horns out front so we got some cool pics by them! We had Mlc friday in allen at President and Sister Seitz house and let me tell you it was pretty awesome we talked a lot about goals and President wanted us as leadership to set a goal for Baptisms in March for the whole mission, than he and Sister Seitz just walked out. We all said a number and we agreed on 35, we all knelt down and said a prayer together as we prayed the spirit was the probably the strongest I have ever felt it it was like Jesus was breathing down my neck it was insane! That night we did exchanges with the assistants and stayed in allen it was pretty fun! We drove back Saturday and went to bucees on the way back of course! Sunday was good but different, finnalt after 5 weeks of working our tail of to get someone to church the lord delivered and we got 2 people to church this week it was amazing! We have been struggling to get people to church, but the lord answered our cries! We also went to a member dinner last night and it was kind of awkward everyone was just glued to the game and we just kind of sat there haha we left and all of our lessons fell through because of the superbowl so that wasn't fun but it all worked out! Today we are going to Mt Pleasant to hangout with another district and play basketball and hangout it should be fun!
