Surviving Three Tornadoes!

Howdy there, buckle up because this is going to be a crazy email. Yes I lived and survived during three tornadoes it was pretty scary the first night we got off a call with president and he mentioned that there had been a tornado touch the ground in the mission. It was pretty bad weather raining and thundering and the lightning is really pretty, we got put on tornado watch at 10:30 right when you're about to go to bed the sirens were going off in town everyone was calling us, we hid in the bathroom for 15 minutes and then we decided it was not a big deal it took me awhile to fall asleep because of the rain and thunder I woke up at 2 a.m. to the house shaking and I thought the tornado must be right outside I was about to wake everyone up and go to the bathroom but I checked my phone first to see where the tornado was but I couldn't find anything so calm down after like 5 minutes and so I just prayed a lot and went to bed. The next morning Facebook was blown up with pictures of of the destruction and so we posted all over Facebook, Community Bridges about free service and trying to help in any way that we could. After going to District Council and lunch weave drove out where are the areas that the tornadoes had gone through. By the way there was three tornadoes, I don't even know how to put into words the feelings on this week it was very to see all the people in distress and confusion, but also I brought so much joy to be able to serve and clean up their properties help them in any way that we could. There's a lot of trees in the Gilmer area so that is most of the damage Fallen trees and Fallen trees on houses and trailers, we can't run chainsaws can lift heavy things so we followed a lot of people around that had chainsaws and just picked up logs and branches. The people are so grateful and it is so awesome to meet them. There is going to be a lot of pictures below the damage and if the clean up that we did, has truly been one of the best weeks of my machine I'm not going to lie we would just do service all day help people out and then that night we were just teach people about Jesus. One of the best things ever Amy got baptized! There is also a picture below she was very very nervous and made everyone close their eyes when she got home got the opportunity confirm her a member and give her the gift of the Holy Ghost. It's always so great to see somebody so prepared baptized funny riddle side mouth I asked her after the baptism how she's going to celebrate and she said she already told her that before so I was confused, she had mentioned a couple of weeks earlier that she was complaining about getting a tattoo. Sure nuff her at of a blue heart. So pray for Amy? This is the last week of the transfer and we get transfer news on Sunday I really stay in Gilmer and just finished my mission here honestly. And I guess we will see we are going to do a lot of service again this week so I'm very excited about that. I don't really know what else to include in this I probably forgot a lot of fun details but please email me and I can tell you some fun stories. I love you all so much!

Elder Kyc Thomas:)

Helaman 5:8-9
8 And now my sons, behold I have somewhat more to desire of you, which desire is, that ye may not do these things that ye may boast, but that ye may do these things to lay up for yourselves a treasure in heaven, yea, which is eternal, and which fadeth not away; yea, that ye may have that precious gift of eternal life, which we have reason to suppose hath been given to our fathers.
9 O remember, remember, my sons, the words which king Benjamin spake unto his people; yea, remember that there is no other way nor means whereby man can be saved, only through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ, who shall come; yea, remember that he cometh to redeem the world.
