They Ain't Got A Lick Of Sense
Wow it has been one of the best weeks ever!
We went to Idabel on Tuesday and did exchanges with the Elders up there it was great to see my old area and friends that I taught there. The Elders I was with I served around about a year ago so it felt like the good ol days! We met a guy that was high on the streets and he tlsked about how he sees God sleeping up on his bed. We watched a guy blow his tire up at the gas station so we went over and helped him put the spare on. After that we got to go day hi to some of my favorite members up there Sister Kiser and Crystle! The next day we drove home and had a good day doing service and we played spider ball with the youth that night and had a lesson with Aimee! Friday was absolutely legendary we just spent the whole night teaching, we had a lesson with Sarah who is probably our most progressimg person and we showed her a video about baptism and put her on date for May 14th! So pray for Aimee that she will make her date and be baptized! We than visited an inactive member and made a plan with him to stop smoking and get to the temple! He is so awesome pray for Micah that his desire to smoke with be taken away! We did a baptism interview that night for someone in the sisters area. Overall it was just the best night of teaching in a while!
SATURDAY! JON WENT TO THE TEMPLE! Jon is someone I baptized in Palestine my first area about 18 months ago. He is one of my favorite people ever and I heard he was going to the temple for the first time so I asked president for permission and he said as long as we get a ride so the tefttellers came in clutch and got to come with us and we spent the whole day going to the temple with them. So it being his first time I thought we were just doing baptisms but he actually received his endowment! Let me just say it was amazing to be able to go through an endowment session again and not be so stressed this time and actually learn some stuff haha that was only my second time in about two years! That not even the end of it as we were walking into the temple I saw some members from my past area, there were there with a member who was receiving his endowment and there were in the same session as we were! Ok so that was pretty insane but that is not the end of it as I was walking out of the temple I saw an elder that is in the fort worth mission that I went to high school with named Caleb Archibald. It was pretty insane to see so many old faces!! Sunday was just as miracle filled, Sarah came to church and a guy named Franklin who is brothers with a member. He is from Venezuela and only speaks Spanish. So we did our own Spanish second hour with him and it was so cool to sit in and feel the spirit haha I understand a lot of Spanish but I can't speak it sooo I kinda just have to sit there. After church we were driving past this random house and the spirit prompted me to go knock it so we pulled in and there was a guy outside cutting wood and he was Spanish speaking so Elder Thompson talked to him as I just listened but we are trying to set a day aside to go out with one of our Spanish speaking members and only try to to find Spanish people so I gotta start studying Spanish so I can try to teach haha.
Our A/C went out on Saturday so Saturday night we stayed in our house but it was pretty warm so last night we went and stayed din the tefttellers house it was so fun we got up and she made us a big breakfast of French toast, eggs and bacon. They are the best!
That is a lot of highlights and miracles from this week but if you want to hear more email me!
